This project consisted of the complete remodeling of the largest hair-dressing salon in Britain situated on London’s prestigious Sloane Street. The ground and first floors were linked by a double height space where the 40 cutting stations were located. The lowest level dealt exclusively with hair color and beauty.

The plan carves out a particular space out of three floors of a 60s office block, bringing light to the interior and responding to the flow of clients and their needs.

The interiors were highly crafted using etched glass for the bridge link, with stainless steel and natural hardwoods as well as terrazzo for the floors. The minimal interior marked a break from the previous image for the salon whilst retaining an appreciation of fine materials and meticulous detailing in a commercial environment.

This project was carried out with Armstrong Associates and completed in 1987.
